All three kids participated in a summer reading club at the local library. Their prize for completing their books was free tickets to the Ringling Bros. circus, so Fabian and I bought ourselves some tickets and we all headed downtown to see the show Sat. night. We went with our friends Chris & Sara and their two kiddos. We met up for dinner since we were all going, but we had bought our tickets separately and while we knew we were in the same section we thought we were sitting far apart. It turns out I read the ticket wrong and they sat right in front of us! So, that worked out great. Before the show everyone was invited down on the floor to see the action up close. Here are Fabian and the kids with a clown. Notice Naomi's face in both pictures -- trying to figure out what was going on!
The girls' both said their favorite part was the little doggies doing tricks. One of them rode a scooter, which was pretty amazing. Some of the acrobatics also caught Isabel's attention. Andreas liked the "main" clown, Bello, who was really a very talented acrobat. He did some scarey tricks on a wheel-type thing on a huge arm that was right in front of us. That was Andreas' favorite part. I liked that too, along with the elephants and various acrobats. Fabian liked the tigers best.
