Little Star

Since the end of soccer season, I. has been going to a singing/dancing class at our church, taught by the very talented Mr. Al. Al is a performer by training and he's also really great with kids. I. is a natural at performing, she sings and dances, has a humorous side and has been able to memorize and repeat movie lines word for word since she was 3 years old.
She finally had her first performance with Mr. Al and the Little Stars last weekend, at a retirement center. As it turns out, it was just she and Mr. Al that day! She got over her jitters and stole the show. People were lined up afterward to shake her hand! The bottom picture shows her in action.

Last night the Little Stars performed again with Mr. Al at an Italian restaurant, out on the patio. There weren't many people there due to the heat but those who were there had a great time. Al had adults and kids alike up and dancing. (you'll have to ask F. about his contribution during the song "Shake Your Booty") Some of the other Little Stars were there, including three of Mr. Al's kids and a few of Isa's friends from church.

Now I must add a bit about her siblings...A. would never admit he likes to sing and dance, but he's got amazing rythm. He did the twist with I. at last week's performance and last night he got up and lip synced to "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" which he didn't even know. He was great! And sweet little N. sang all of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" by herself, into a microphone. No fear! We are proud of all three of them.
