I.'s Brownie troop

So excited!

Getting an autograph from "Lily" the mouse

Her vest needs a little work...I didn't get all the correct iron ons for starters (American flag, council badges, etc.) I did get her troop numbers and ironed them on per the instructions, but one by one the numbers fell off on the way to the show. So, I. had to wear a plain brown vest for this one!!!

I. has wanted to join Brownies since she was in preschool. I don't know how she even knew about them back them! She is a girl who knows what she likes. A few weeks ago we went to our first Brownie meeting and eagerly signed her up. This past Saturday was our first outing, to a children's theater production. It was fantastic and I. loved it!!! She earned her first patch and was so happy about that.

The play was Lily and Her Purple Plastic Purse, it was so cute. Lily is a mouse. A very funny Kindergarten aged mouse. The girls were laughing and dancing along with the play and all the moms were cracking up. Afterward, the characters in the play signed autographs.

If I haven't mentioned it before, I. is very dramatic. At the age of three she would sit at the dinner table and recite, word for word, the scene from "The Incredibles" where the family is fighting around the dinner table. So, she's good at memorizing lines and she's also good at mimicking -- following dance moves, acting like characters in a show (ex: Hannah Montanah). She is very fun to watch in a performance, even with the kids' choir at church. I think she has a future on the stage herself...

So fun! I love that book. Mr. Slinger is great.

And I LOVED being in brownies! Make sure Isabel hits us up for cookies- we'll buy some if we haven't gone gluten free by then. :)

The brown vest looks good on pink! And, no, it doesn't look bad to me!

Looks like she's having fun. I was in Bluebirds - I think like Brownies of today and yes, cookies! I would love to buy some if I were state-side, but maybe next time. Helps my diet that they are not easily accessible :)
