Living Loved
I just finished a work of fiction, called "The Shack". Tonight I looked away from it long enough to see Michael Phelps win his 3rd gold medal of these Olympics, but other than that I was engrossed. Obviously it touched me greatly if I am blogging about it! I can't really explain it to you except to tell you it is about love and relationship with God. Deep philosophical and spiritual questions are explored in a fresh new way in this book. It is a book to cry and laugh your way through. At times I was disturbed, at times confused, but in the end I felt a little closer to understanding who God really is...and who He is not. It really flushed out some things I have been walking through and dealing with over the last few years in my desire to know God more deeply and intimately, without all the stuff that gets in the way. So, if you want to know more go to TheShackBook.com . It's not perfect, but that's the point! The main character learns to live loved and that is exactly what I am learning to do. If you read the book, you'll understand what that's all about...
