Dress up

Here is Isabel as Isabel "The Horse Robber". This is how she appeared on a wanted poster she made for her homework during Texas week.  Doesn't she look the part?! Each spring, school kids here spend a week learning all about "The Great State of Texas".  Texas pride is BIG!  I don't ever remember having New Jersey week in school...
Also, here is little miss Naomi pretending to be Cinderella.  She is just beginning to play dress up as Isabel is starting to outgrow it.

Nay Nay

Naomi (Nay Nay) is so big now, instead of being a "little girl" I think she is a "mini-big girl".  She has to keep up with her brother and sister and all their friends!  She is fiesty, ACTIVE, loving, very funny, independent, and just plain sweet.  Her language development is pretty amazing for a kid with older siblings to speak for her, as well.  Here is a picture of her taken today, playing with her kitchen...

Andreas scores his first goal

Andreas loves playing soccer, and is very good at it.  His team is called the FC Cobras.  He is good at both offense and defense, but one thing has alluded him all the years that he has played soccer:  a goal!  Well, on Saturday Feb. 23rd, he did it! He told me that morning, "mom, this is the day I am going to get the goal".  He was right!
Some other notable things about Andreas life at age 8 (almost 9)  He participates in an enrichment class at school called LEAP, which he loves.  In January they dissected a shark!  I have friends in the medical profession who said they didn't do that until college!  He loves to read, play and watch different sports, play video games, do math -- he is always counting things and looking at things mathmatically! (Hmmm, could he be taking after his dad?!) Andreas loves the Dallas Coyboys as well as the New England Patriots.  He is also good at drawing and loves information.  He is a very loyal friend, and a leader.

Daddy's little girl

This picture is from the Daddy/Daughter dance that Fabian and Isabel attended before Valentines' day of this year. Isabel had the flu (we didn't know that's what she was sick with, her fever had gone down, we certainly would have insisted she stay home had we known!) but she was determined to go on her date with Daddy, no matter what. She actually mustered up the strength to dance with him and play a few games before saying "Daddy, I'm tired and ready to go home". She says she looks forward to going to the dance with him again next year.
Isabel is a lovely girl, very caring and generous.  She helps out with her little sister alot.  She is very focused and hard working.  She is learning to read in Kindergarten, and will be given the super citizen award for the quality of "cooperation" this coming week!  She was chosen from her whole class and will be presented a ribbon at her school's PTA meeting, as well as being recognized in front of the kids in K-1st-and 2nd grades.  We are very proud of her. She plays soccer and is also quite good, she loves to make art, sing and dance, and tumble (somersault!)  She also loves to climb trees.
