Unsuspecting me before the big surprise with flowers/balloons sent by my bro and sis. We were heading out to have family portraits taken as my "birthday gift" -- a ruse for getting me out of the house! The pictures turned out great.

Leaves turning colors, cooler air, pumpkins, mums, pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. (granted, the leaves turning and cooler air are more of a Northern thing). The smell of autumn...not so noticable where I currently live, but a great childhood memory.
My birthday! This year I turned 40 and my hubby threw me a surprise party!
My littlest sweet heart turned 4 and we had her party at a puppet theater. What joy and delight she brings to us!
Two days after her party I went to the U2 concert...AWESOME!
The older kids are playing soccer -- lots of time out of doors.
And finally, my darling middle child is celebrating her 8th birthday in a few days. She is a very loving, caring, helpful young lady full of life and creativity!
It is such a busy month and it flies by more quickly than any month (except for December) but it is my favorite!

You know, I think we could take a poll, but I believe everyone's favorite month is usually their birthday month. So for me, that is July and it is my favorite month, too. I so wish I could have been there to see the surprise in your eyes and celebrate your big 40 with you. So glad you had an awesome time!
