...take shelter in a closet and play Pac Man on mom's phone! This happened just about an hour ago. It's always very exciting. At this age, the girls get a little freaked out so we try to make it silly. A. is pretty much un-phased when he is pulled out of bed, I think he think's it's pretty cool. Of course we were fine, the worst of the storm went around us as it so often does.
In the top picture, they were all making "scared faces" on purpose.

very nice. your closet looks much more comfy than our bathroom!
You're so good. I ignored the tornado sirens completely and left the kids in bed.
Then again, the ONLY place in our house with no windows is the laundry room and we really don't fit in there comfortably. They know that's where we go in an emergency, but we'd have to be pretty scared and desperate to squeeze in. :)
There's no way Fabian and I would fit in the closet unless it was at the last desperate minute. We slept through sirens during the big storms that tore through our neighborhood last spring (blogged about it long ago) and didn't have a bit of damage on our property. I told the kids then that if God had needed for us to take cover he would have woken us up, but he didn't. And we were safe in our beds! So this time it was a bit of over kill, we never felt in any danger. The kids actually fell asleep pretty easily once we got them back into bed, amazingly!
My response was to move D to the closet while I stood outside looking @ the clouds. Since he was sick, he actually fell asleep in the closet & didn't want to be moved back to his bed.
Cute pics! Thanks for the posting. I left you a message at home just a minute ago. It was about a favor I was asking. I will follow-up with an email. Miss you and all my blogging buds!
