A. and F. headed out this evening for the Weblos Camporee, which is a two night campout for area Weblos and Boy Scouts. (It's for the younger guys, but the Boy Scouts help out). A. was sooo excited! He just joined again after taking a break from cub scouts so we are trying to get back into the swing of scouting. They will be shooting bb guns and all sorts of guy stuff.

Yesterday after school, the girls had fun using some new paints that Aunt Ruthie and Co. sent from Maine for their birthdays. They loved the creamy acrylics that they could squeeze out onto a palette, and the many types and sizes of brushes that came with the set. I. will paint anything she can get her hands on. There is a boy across the street who is her age and also very creative, they now play art school together. They are actually working on assignments until they get together again for "class" again next Tuesday (they have made a date...)

A.'s class had a field trip to the State Fair last week, which I got to chaperone. We did a scavenger hunt which was alot of fun. Pigs were on the list! Aren't they cute? His class just finished reading Charlotte's Web, so the timing was great for these city kids. I just love this picture taken of him on the bus, just before we arrived at the fair. So eager and ready to go!
