Well, Andreas and Isabel are now 1 hour into the new school year. Naomi is camped out watching Go Diego Go and missing her brother and sister. We will go out and run errands in a little while -- it's so much easier with one kiddo in tow instead of all 3! (Although they are great kids and they behave pretty well when we do all go out shopping)
I am relieved to have them off to school, but it's also a little sentimental. I am so glad that I get to be with them all summer, although sometimes it feels like an uphill climb through the heat and boredom of the last month.
They were both perfectly ready to go back and went into their classrooms without a hitch. I didn't even go into A.'s room because that wouldn't be cool. I thought Isabel might need a moment with me, but she became her usual independent self once we walked into the building. She was so busy catching up with friends that she wouldn't have said goodbye to me if I hadn't made her focus! That's the way we want it to be, although I have to sigh when I realize how quickly they are growing up.

Yes, I feel your pain...and your pleasure! Take a look at my blog to see what a fantabulous drop off I had this morning!
Pick up this afternoon was my challenging time. I told Andreas' teacher that he needed to pick Isabel up at the end of the day, but I FORGOT to say anything to Isabel's teacher. Naomi had a mess in her pants right when it was time to go pick up, so I was late, then when I got there the carpool line was so long the entrance to the parking lot was blocked -- my plan was to get out of the car and walk to the front door, and we will do it altogether differently when we are allowed to choose which door we pick them up from later on. After a series of frustrations and watching the clock tick, I got to A & I w/ a clean Naomi in toe just in time. A's teacher apparently had to fill I's teacher in for me ...
